Always wanted to go on that great backpacking trip in Yellowstones wild backcountry, but didnt want to hike and camp alone? Thought you would like to go with somebody who explains the flora and fauna on the way, helps with outdoor safety tips and how to travel and camp in bear country, and who knows those beautiful out of the way sites?

Here is your solution: Join YSC on a backpacking adventure that will provide you with exactly that expert guidance, the fun and safety of being with a small group of likeminded folks, and experiences in the great outdoors you will remember and talk about for many years to come. Be an explorer of remote backcountry trails. Learn the names of wildflowers, plants and mountains. Wake up to the calls of sandhill cranes circling over the camp. Watch out for river otters in the Bechler River. Be awed by a black bear in a meadow. Feel the wildness of Yellowstones backcountry and the freedom of being in the natural outdoors. Study animal tracks and read the stories they tell. Enjoy the company of the other group members and feel the burden of daily worries disappear.

The Bechler Backpacking Adventure takes you into one of the best backpacking areas of Yellowstone National Park. It is wild and remote, yet not too difficult to hike. The Bechler River drains the southwest corner of Yellowstone. This area is often referred to as Cascade Corner due to the numerous, and spectacular, waterfalls descending from the Madison Plateau. On this unique adventure, youll encounter beautiful scenery among backcountry thermal hot springs. Youll cross a pristine and lush valley, which encloses meandering stream channels. Follow the Bechler River into the Bechler Canyon and enjoy waterfalls along the way. Ultimately, when youll reach the uppermost tributaries of the Bechler River, you will be rewarded with stunning views and a soak in one of the greatest hot pots on earth. In addition, to top it all off: This trip also has excellent fishing opportunities. Catch your own dinner!

This trip is for you if you enjoy backcountry backpacking and are in good physical shape, value good companionship and the solitude of nature, and enjoy the challenges and rewards of a unique multi-day excursion into the heart of Yellowstones scenic wilderness.
