In a wolf pack, the alpha female is usually the strongest and wisest member of the group. She is the best hunter or best strategist, the most cautious wolf around people, and she gets to mate with the alpha male. The alpha female is respected by all pack members. We still think fondly of alpha female wolf #42 who reigned with a soft paw, gentle demeanor and wise decisions over the Druid Peak Pack, or the U-Black Wolf who survived in the face of adversity.

We have created Alpha Female Safaris for Safari Women.

Who are Safari Women? Safari Women don't have to hunt or howl at the moon. They are regular women from all walks of life. Safari Women are people with an independent, inquisitive, and open mind. They are eager explorers, keen observers, and passionate or quiet nature enthusiasts. Safari Women feel a kinship to the wild. They like the outdoors, the magic, the adventure. They know how to relax in nature. Safari Women enjoy the company of likeminded women on a wildlife safari of a lifetime, a unique journey into one of nature's last intact ecosystems - Yellowstone National Park, home of wolf packs and grizzly bears, on top of an ancient sleeping volcano.

During our Alpha Female Safaris, women will have the opportunity to connect with Yellowstone's beautiful and untamed spirit through hiking, exploring and watching. Witness the lives of animals and have your female guide by your side to interpret. Watch the first steps of a bison calf, listen to the howl of a wolf, and watch a bear and her cub. Enjoy the quiet of a lake in the forest, the noisy bubble and hiss of a temperamental geyser, and the stunning view into a canyon. Discover tracks and leave your own. Follow the trail into your wild soul. Relax from your busy life and enjoy the soothing strength of nature. The shared adventures in the company of your fellow Safari Women will remain with you forever and may even spark lifelong friendships.

Our Alpha Female Safari groups are small to ensure a maximum of personal attention, flexibility and FUN! We travel in a customized Suburban (up to six participants) or in a comfortable van (up to 12 participants).

Rate is based on shared accommodations and includes pick-up and drop-off in Bozeman or some Yellowstone Park locations, meals, and lodging at charming cabins in Silver Gate on the northeastern edge of Yellowstone. Please call for single supplement rate. We recommend flying into Bozeman, MT the day before the safari. We'd be happy to assist with hotel accommodations.
